What is the FX-180?

The FX-180 is an upgraded high-pressure fuel pump. The pump features a bigger bore size than stock that translates into roughly 80% more flow when compared to stock. The pump is completely E85 compatible and fully plug and play with no cutting or splicing of any kind required. The added flow will let you run much higher ethanol concentrations and also allow fueling for bigger turbos.  The pumps are also capable of running higher than stock pressures upto 240bar which increases fuel injector output and also reduced injection time.

Why do you need it

The stock HPFP on the M177 Motors is severely limited in capacity when trying to tune and raise the output of the motor. The FX-180 adds 80% more flow to the equation, raising the fueling limits on the platform and helping you run bigger turbos and/or higher ethanol concentration blends.

What does the kit include?

Our FX-180 kit for the M177 includes

2 x FX-180  upgraded high-pressure fuel pumps

1 x Ethanol Content Monitor with mobile apps

1 x Bosch spec 10-micron high flow Fuel Filter

Upgraded Fuel lines and all necessary install hardware

***Low Pressure Fuel Pump Upgrade Requirement

Due to the higher flow requirement of the FX-180 HPFP, Spool highly suggests upgrading the Low pressure fuel pump as well to avoid any starvation issues with the upgraded HPFP. If customer chooses to forego the upgrade of the low pressure fuel pump, and damage from low pressure fuel supply issues occurs, the purchase of the FX-180 HPFP would be excluded from any warranty coverage.

Are tune changes required?

The upgraded pumps do require calibration changes. It is important to apply these changes prior to starting the car with pumps installed to avoid any possible damage and void of warranty.
