De introductie van de S55 in de M3 en M4 in 2015 was de eerste keer dat de compacte M's turbo's uit de fabriek zagen, maar deze motoren brachten een andere lange traditie met zich mee: Blow-by.
De Mishimoto BMW M3 / M4 catch can-kit maakt gebruik van bewezen techniek van de Mishimoto 2-Port Compact Baffled Oil Catch Can waarvoor patent is aangevraagd, met zijn 50 micron bronzen filter en interne schot om de olie beter van de carterdampen te scheiden.
De ingenieurs van Mishimoto ontwierpen een CNC-gefreesd deksel met grote inlaat- en uitlaatpoorten om te passen bij de binnenmaat van de CCV-slang.
Deze verbijsterde olievangst kan uw intercooler, inlaatsysteem en VANOS-systeem beschermen tegen doorblazende olie en helpt het juiste octaangetal te behouden om mogelijke ontploffing te verminderen.
De set wordt geleverd met twee direct-fit slangen, die geen aanpassing aan de motorkap vereisen, en een direct-fit billet aluminium montagebeugel die extreem eenvoudig te installeren is en het blik op een bruikbare locatie monteert! Twee aluminium, 3/4 "weerhaakfittingen verbinden de slangen met het blik. En, net als elke Mishimoto-olievangstblik, wordt deze verbijsterde blikverpakkingsset geleverd met de levenslange garantie van Mishimoto!
Onze opvangbakken verschillen op een aantal niveaus van de meeste lucht-olie-afscheider (AOS) -systemen.

Our catch cans are different from most air-oil-separator (AOS) systems on a few levels. First, our catch cans are not heated. This means that all of the blow-by is able to condense in the can, including low-octane oil vapors and contaminated fuel vapors. Most AOS systems also drain the blow-by back into the oil pan, while our catch cans trap the blow-by and keep it out of the engine permanently.
